Ordinarily, humans who die find their way to the Soul Society before returning to the world of the living, and shinigami who die are unrecognizable when reborn. They have no memory of who they were, may be either gender, may not even be born again immediately. It is truly a new life, a different person with the same soul. But something has gone wrong. Something -- or someone -- is disrupting the process. Humans are being reborn on Earth. Shinigami are being reborn all wrong. They are different people, yes, but only on the surface. Letters have been arriving in the mail, mysterious invitations to a town everyone knows was destroyed more than a decade ago. There is no return address, but the letter promises that it will reach its destination, somehow... And should you accept, you may not survive to regret your choice. | ||
